What is the Meaning of the Lotus Flower?
5 January 2021
We created a design based upon the lotus flower for the Revive logo and chose a Scandinavian modern style, whose simplicity conveys a clear and pure image. The predominant aquamarine colouring sits between green and blue and represents peace and serenity. It evokes the purity of crystalline waters and the relaxation of the sea. It is calming as it balances the mind and emotions. It inspires truth, trust and letting go. We felt this colour conveyed and summed up Revive and its ethos.

Kamala is the Sanskrit for lotus. Throughout time the lotus flower has been a powerful spiritual symbol. The lotus flower has its roots in mud, at the bottom of streams and ponds. But it grows to become the most beautiful flower despite its origins, trusting in its own unfolding. It symbolises how we too can overcome all obstacles on our journey towards enlightenment, and flourish.

The lotus flower is a beloved, widely used symbol in many spiritual practices and is especially linked to eastern religions. It is not only a symbol of purity and enlightenment but also of self-regeneration and re-birth.
